Residents and business owners along the Igbogbo-Baiyeku Road in Ikorodu are calling for urgent action as ongoing construction worsens with heavy rains.
Mud, flooding, and near-impassable sections have made movement a nightmare—forcing commercial drivers to avoid the route and leaving commuters stranded.
Traders say sales are dropping, drivers complain of reduced income, and residents say even alternative roads are collapsing under pressure.
“We appreciate the project, but the pace is too slow,” one resident said.
Reacting, the Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, Hammed Aroyewun, assured that contractors are back on site and work has resumed—but urged patience.
For residents, though, the message is clear: speed up the work and restore normal life.
