The Government of Türkiye has expressed condolences to Nigeria following the Nigerian Air Force aircraft crash in Ondo State on Oct. 5.
In a statement, Türkiye’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it was deeply saddened by the loss of lives and extended condolences to the families of those who died and to the people of Nigeria.
The NAF aircraft, NGR 931, was on a routine mission from Benin to Lagos when it crashed in the Igbokoda area of Ondo State. NAF said 25 people were on board, comprising five crew members and 20 passengers.
The condolence message adds to expressions of solidarity with Nigeria as authorities continue investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
