Tosin Eniolorunda, Co-founder and Group CEO of Moniepoint Inc., has been named the only African among the business, technology and Artificial Intelligence leaders featured on TIME’s 2026 TIME100 Next list.
The annual list recognises 100 emerging global leaders whose work is shaping the future across business, technology, politics, science, sports and culture. TIME CEO Jessica Sibley said the 2026 honourees were “pushing boundaries, creating new possibilities, and advancing their fields and communities around the world.”
Eniolorunda was recognised for his role in building financial infrastructure that has expanded access to financial services for businesses and individuals in Nigeria. Founded in 2015, Moniepoint became a unicorn in 2024 and says it now serves more than 20 million businesses and individuals, with its agency banking network covering all 774 local government areas.
Tony Elumelu, Chairman of Heirs Holdings and founder of the Tony Elumelu Foundation, wrote Eniolorunda’s citation for the honour. Eniolorunda dedicated the recognition to the Moniepoint team and its customers, saying it would strengthen the company’s commitment to building financial infrastructure focused on customer needs. The recognition comes less than two weeks after Moniepoint CTO Felix Ike was named on TIME’s Executives of the Year list for Tech and Data.
