Family, friends, colleagues and dignitaries gathered in Lagos on Friday for the funeral service of veteran actor Olu Jacobs.
The service, held at This Present House in Lekki Phase I, celebrated the life and legacy of the actor, who died on Sept. 16, 2026, at the age of 84. Members of the entertainment industry were also present to pay their final respects.
Dare Art Alade performed Pray for Me, while Jacobs’ son, Olugbenga, presented his father’s biography. Pastor Tony Rapu delivered a sermon reflecting on Jacobs’ life and career, with prayers offered for the family.
The service followed a Night of Tributes held on Wednesday at Glover Memorial Hall, Lagos Island, as family, colleagues and admirers continued to celebrate the legacy of one of Nigeria’s veteran actors.
