Vendors at the 2026 Abuja International Trade Fair have appealed for increased patronage, with some exhibitors expressing concern over low customer turnout.
Foreign participants from Ghana and China said they remained hopeful that more customers would visit as the fair progresses. They said stronger patronage would help exhibitors while creating opportunities for business relationships and future commercial activities.
For some local vendors, the fair is also about more than immediate sales. Clement Agbo said he was using the event to network, study competitors, understand market trends and identify potential partnerships.
The ACCI Director-General, Jideani Agabaidu, expressed optimism that visitor turnout would improve, noting that the 12-day trade fair provides opportunities for business, investment, innovation and networking.
