President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Founder and Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, on his 72nd birthday, acknowledging his contributions to education, leadership development and humanitarian service.
In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, on Sunday, September 27, in Abuja, Tinubu joined Oyedepo’s family, church and the Christian community in celebrating the cleric’s decades of service. He also acknowledged Oyedepo’s emphasis on discipline, responsibility and integrity in promoting moral and spiritual development.
The President highlighted Oyedepo’s role in human-capital development through Covenant University and Landmark University, saying the institutions had promoted academic excellence, leadership development, entrepreneurship and innovation. He also noted the cleric’s publishing activities and the reach of his books and teachings in Nigeria and beyond.
Tinubu further acknowledged social-development initiatives linked to Oyedepo’s ministry, including schools, healthcare facilities and humanitarian interventions, as well as the activities of the David Oyedepo Foundation in supporting education and people in need. He wished the cleric continued wisdom, strength, good health and many more years of service to God and humanity.
