Nigerian wrestling referee Adebiyi Olusegun has attained Level 2 certification from United World Wrestling (UWW), the Nigerian Wrestling Federation has announced.
Olusegun completed the Level 2 Referees Certification Course during the 2026 African Wrestling Championships in Alexandria, Egypt. He was sponsored by the Nigerian Wrestling Federation as part of its efforts to strengthen the capacity of Nigerian wrestling officials.
NWF President Bashir Adeniyi said the achievement reflects the federation’s focus on developing not only athletes but also referees, coaches and other technical officials.
Adeniyi congratulated Olusegun and encouraged him to remain dedicated to excellence, while urging other aspiring referees to take advantage of development opportunities.
