Nigeria, who won all three of their matches, finished top of Group A with the maximum six points. After winning the toss and batting first, the team posted 133 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs before restricting Tanzania to 76 runs for eight wickets.

Omosigho Eguakun led Nigeria’s batting with 50 runs from 46 balls, while Peace Usen scored 32 and Deborah Bassey added 14. Eguakun was named Player of the Match, while Chisom Okpe and Jennifer Godwin claimed two wickets each as Nigeria’s bowlers maintained their control.

The YellowGreens will face Rwanda, who finished second in Group B, in the semi-final on Thursday. The team will now look to convert its perfect group-stage record into a place in the final and move closer to securing qualification for the next stage of the competition.
