The Lagos State Command of the Nigeria Police Force has reaffirmed its commitment to working with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to ensure the safety and welfare of corps members serving across the state.
The Commissioner of Police, Fatai Tijani, gave the assurance when the NYSC Lagos State Coordinator, Christiana Salmwang, paid a familiarisation visit to the command headquarters in Ikeja on Tuesday September 1.
Tijani stressed the importance of sustained collaboration between both institutions to address security concerns and provide a safe environment for corps members throughout their service year. He also pledged continued engagement with NYSC and other stakeholders to strengthen public safety.
Salmwang, in turn, expressed the NYSC’s readiness to deepen its partnership with the police to enhance the security and well-being of corps members deployed to Lagos.
