The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kano Sector Command, has rescued 15 people following a lone crash involving a DAF trailer on the Kano-Zaria Road.
The accident occurred around 5 a.m. on Sunday at Gadan Yankifi after the FRSC received a distress call from a member of the public. The rescue team arrived at the scene within five minutes and evacuated all 15 victims to Kura General Hospital for treatment.
According to the Sector Commander, Idris Lawal, the trailer was conveying passengers and goods when the crash occurred. He confirmed that no fatality was recorded.
Lawal urged motorists using the route to reduce speed, exercise patience and obey traffic regulations, particularly around the affected area. He also appealed to motorists to cooperate with emergency responders as efforts continued to clear the obstruction and restore normal traffic flow.
