Grammy-winning Nigerian music star Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, will headline the opening night of the 2026 Detty December Fest in Lagos.
Organisers said Wizkid will take the stage on December 18, kicking off the 13-day festival, which will run until December 30 and feature music, culture, food, fashion and entertainment.
The 2026 edition will introduce a second performance platform, the Pulse Stage, alongside the main Festival Stage. Organisers said the new stage will provide opportunities for emerging artistes and new sounds shaping the future of African music.
The festival follows the launch edition in 2025, which attracted more than 40,000 attendees and featured international and African artistes including Busta Rhymes, Gunna, Shenseea, Tiwa Savage, Diamond Platnumz, Phyno, Wande Coal, Fave and Wizkid.
Organisers said the 2026 festival will offer an expanded mix of entertainment and cultural experiences as Lagos prepares for another major December celebration.
