Listen

The Deeper Christian Life Ministry has announced free medical services, including surgeries, as part of activities marking the August edition of the Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK) in Ota, Ogun State.

The church said the medical outreaches would hold ahead of the five-day crusade scheduled for August 26 to 30 at Anglican Church Grammar School, Abebi, Ota. The crusade, supported by the Christian Association of Nigeria and Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria in Ogun West, has the theme “Total Transformation Through Christ.”

A member of the organising committee, Dr Olalekan Sokan, said free medical services would include general surgeries as well as gynaecological, ophthalmological and dental consultations and treatment. Maternal and child health outreaches will also be held at selected locations in Ota.

He said free surgeries would be conducted on August 24 and 25 at State Hospital, Ota, and General Hospital, Idiroko, Ipokia LGA, by medical specialists. Prospective beneficiaries are expected to undergo pre-surgical screening between August 12 and 14 at designated centres in Ota and Idiroko.

The programme will also include prison outreach, providing inmates with medical and humanitarian support, as well as spiritual encouragement. Other activities include an All Believers’ Conference on August 27 and 28 and an Impact Academy for Youth focused on equipping young people with skills and values.

The Ogun West Overseer of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor Joseph Fasanmi, described the crusade as an opportunity for spiritual and social renewal and urged residents to participate regardless of their religious, social or political backgrounds.
