Organisers of the 2026 National Fair on Trade, Culture and Skills for Women and Youth have inaugurated a strategic advisory board as preparations gather momentum for the second edition of the event. The fair aims to attract over 1,000 exhibitors and equip more than 1,000 young Nigerians with practical, market-driven skills.

Convener of the fair, Jeremiah Agala, said the event, scheduled for Nov. 10–14 in Abuja, will bring together women entrepreneurs, young innovators, investors, policymakers and development partners to promote entrepreneurship, job creation and economic growth. He called on governments, development agencies and private organisations to sponsor participants from across the country.

Organisers said participants will receive training in digital technology, artificial intelligence, digital marketing, graphic design, content creation, agriculture, renewable energy, entrepreneurship, financial literacy and leadership. The programme will also connect trainees with mentors, employers and investors to boost business and employment opportunities.

The fair will also showcase Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage through arts, fashion, music, dance and cuisine, while providing women- and youth-led businesses with opportunities to attract investors, build partnerships and access new markets. Organisers expect between 2,000 and 3,000 participants from across the country, with improved logistics and expanded exhibition facilities for this year’s edition.
