A stronger partnership between Nigeria and the United States could unlock new opportunities for economic growth, industrialisation and job creation across Africa, according to business leader Tein Jack-Rich.

Speaking at the Celebrate America 250 event in Washington, D.C., the President of Belemaoil Group said Nigeria’s abundant natural resources, youthful population and strategic importance position it as a key gateway for U.S. investment and trade in Africa. He stressed that greater collaboration in technology, energy, agriculture, infrastructure and commerce could transform economies across the continent.

Jack-Rich also called for Africa to be seen as a long-term strategic ally, noting that meaningful engagement with policymakers and investors is essential for attracting development opportunities and telling Africa’s story from its own perspective.

Echoing similar views, Eric Trump highlighted Africa’s vast economic potential and urged stronger U.S.-Africa engagement. Both leaders agreed that deeper cooperation could deliver mutual benefits, strengthen bilateral relations and help unlock Africa’s next phase of growth and development.
