The 2026 CBN National Open Championship continues in Abuja with a key women’s singles semi-final showdown between Success Ogunjobi and Khadijat Mohammed.
Ogunjobi has been in strong form, dropping only five games en route to the last four. She recorded straight-set wins over Bunmi Are, Gloria Samuel, and Mary Udofa to reach the semi-finals.
Mohammed has also impressed, winning all her matches convincingly to set up the encounter. Both players recently met at the NASCO/ITF J30 Junior Championship, where Ogunjobi came out on top in both matches.
The second women’s semi-final will see Etoro Bassey face Bright Emmanuel-Essien at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium. The tournament continues as players compete for places in the final.
