The University of Calabar (UniCal) says it is fully prepared to host the 2026 Nigeria Universities Games Association (NUGA), expected to attract about 50,000 athletes from more than 50 universities across Nigeria.
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Offiong Offiong, disclosed this at a press briefing in Calabar, noting that the 28th edition of the biennial games will hold from November 14 to November 24, featuring 28 sporting events.
He said the university is working with security agencies and relevant stakeholders to ensure a safe and successful competition. He also expressed appreciation to the Cross River State Government and other partners for their support.
