The Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) is set to bring together government officials, policymakers, development partners, academics, and governance experts to discuss ways of strengthening public institutions and advancing public service reforms in Nigeria.
The event, scheduled as part of activities marking the United Nations Public Service Day on June 23, will feature a public lecture and discussions on innovation, inclusion, citizen engagement, digital transformation, and improved service delivery.
According to BPSR Director-General Dasuki Arabi, strong institutions are essential for sustainable development, effective governance, and rebuilding public trust in government. He said the forum will provide a platform for sharing ideas and practical solutions to improve public administration and institutional performance.
The event’s theme is “Transforming Public Institutions: Advancing Innovation, Participation and Inclusion.” Organisers say the gathering will focus on building more responsive, accountable, and citizen-centred public institutions.
