Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have arrested a suspected ISWAP/Boko Haram collaborator in Gwoza, Borno State.
The suspect was reportedly arrested at the Government Secondary School Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp in Gwoza Town. He is accused of attempting to lure members of the Hybrid Forces into a trap allegedly linked to terrorist groups operating iNewsUltra360
in the area.
Military sources say preliminary investigations suggest the suspect had links with terrorists around the Mandara Mountains region. He is currently in custody as further investigations continue.
Authorities say the arrest is part of ongoing efforts to dismantle support networks linked to terrorist activities in the North-East.
