TOURISM EXPERT CALLS FOR SUSTAINED UPKEEP OF EPE MUSEUM TO BOOST VISITOR NUMBERS

A tourism expert has called for sustained maintenance of the Epe Museum in Lagos State, saying the facility has the potential to attract more visitors and strengthen local tourism.

Speaking in Lagos, Mr Bayo Ilesami commended efforts to preserve the museum and its cultural assets, noting that the facility showcases artworks, historical photographs, traditional relics, and the historic Epe Local Court. He said tourism could become a significant source of revenue for the local government if properly developed and prioritised.

Ilesami also advocated the introduction of modern digital facilities to improve visitor experience and position the museum as a key attraction during cultural and festive events.

He described the museum as an important symbol of Epe’s cultural heritage and urged continued investment in its preservation for future generations.
