The United Nations has reported major global humanitarian progress, stating that 121 million people received food assistance in 2025.

According to UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed, 191 million children were vaccinated against measles during the same period, while 84 million people benefited from social protection programmes. The report also notes that over half a billion people have accessed essential health services since 2018.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres, however, warned that declining development funding could put these gains at risk. He urged member states to provide more stable and predictable support to sustain ongoing humanitarian efforts.

The UN says continued cooperation is needed to maintain progress as the world works toward the 2030 development targets.
