ABIA FIRST LADY DONATES 35 HOUSES TO INDIGENT WIDOWS ACROSS 17 LGAs

Listen

The Wife of the Governor of Abia State, Mrs Priscilla Otti, has handed over 35 newly built three-bedroom bungalows to indigent widows across the 17 local government areas of the state.

The houses were delivered under the “Dignity Homes” initiative, which aims to improve the living conditions of vulnerable citizens and restore dignity and hope to widows in need. The initiative also ensured equitable distribution across all LGAs.

During the official handover in Umuahia, government officials described the project as a step toward social inclusion and support for vulnerable groups. Some beneficiaries also expressed appreciation for the gesture.

The initiative is part of broader efforts to support welfare programmes for disadvantaged residents across the state.
