President Bola Tinubu has commended the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for a major breakthrough in dismantling a transborder drug trafficking network.
The operation reportedly targeted a Nigerian-Mexican syndicate following weeks of intelligence-led coordination with international security partners. Several arrests were made, including foreign nationals and local collaborators, while illicit drugs and chemicals worth over $360 million were seized.
President Tinubu described the operation as a strong step forward in Nigeria’s fight against organised crime and drug trafficking. He praised the NDLEA for its professionalism and urged continued efforts against drug networks.
He also called on Nigerians to support security agencies by staying vigilant and reporting suspicious activities within their communities.
