Catholic priest Rev. Fr. Jude Akinwale has urged Nigerians to make forgiveness a way of life as Christians marked Pentecost Sunday across the country.
Speaking during a Pentecost Mass at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Ilara-Epe in Lagos State, Akinwale said forgiveness and peaceful coexistence are important values linked to the gift of the Holy Spirit.
The priest explained that the Holy Spirit empowers Christians to promote harmony, stewardship and the message of the Gospel. He added that embracing forgiveness can help strengthen relationships and encourage better coexistence in society.
Akinwale also called for continued prayers for Nigeria, especially as the country faces security challenges and prepares for future elections. He encouraged Christians to remain hopeful and committed to peace and positive change.
