The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) says it has sealed all branches of Inner Galaxy Steel Company and Jiuxing Integrity Industrial Ltd over allegations linked to terrorism financing and vandalism of national infrastructure.
According to the NSCDC, the action followed a court order obtained after investigations into alleged conspiracy, theft and concealment of vandalised railway infrastructure and other government assets.
The corps said operatives from the Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad raided one of the companies’ facilities in Kaduna State, where recovered materials believed to be stolen government property were found. The NSCDC also alleged that some of the materials were recycled into commercial products.
NSCDC spokesperson Babatunde Afolabi said the companies’ management had been summoned but had yet to comply. The agency added that investigations are ongoing and warned that anyone found culpable would face prosecution in line with the law.
