The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Niger State has deployed 600 personnel to ensure safe and smooth travel during the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
According to Sector Commander A’ishat Sa’adu, the special operation will begin on May 25 and will cover major highways across the state. The command has also mobilised 12 patrol vehicles, one tow truck, and three ambulances to support emergency response and traffic management.
The FRSC says the move is aimed at ensuring free flow of traffic, quick rescue operations, and improved safety for road users before, during, and after the festive period. Motorists are also advised to obey traffic rules and avoid speeding or driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Authorities are calling for cooperation from all road users to ensure a safe and hitch-free celebration period across Niger State.
