Culture is being described as a powerful force for shaping nations and strengthening global unity.
This was the message in Abuja at the 2026 World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, organised by the Korean Cultural Centre Nigeria (KCCN) in collaboration with Youths Orientation for Development (YOD) and UNESCO.
The event featured cultural performances, discussions, and award presentations marking the 150th anniversary of Korean cultural figure Kim Koo. Organisers said cultural exchange plays a key role in promoting peace, creativity, and understanding among nations.
Young Nigerians were also recognised for their participation in essay and video competitions focused on cultural identity and expression. The event concluded with calls for stronger cultural cooperation and youth inclusion in global dialogue.
