China and Nigeria have deepened cultural diplomacy through a heritage-focused event held in Abuja, showcasing traditional arts, music, and tea culture.
The 2026 “Tea for Harmony Yaji Cultural Salon” featured performances such as tea ceremonies, guqin music, incense rituals, ceramic art, and tea tasting sessions. The event was organised by the Chinese Embassy in Nigeria alongside cultural exchange institutions.
Speaking at the event, representatives described tea and Silk Road heritage as symbols of dialogue, cooperation, and mutual understanding between nations. Nigerian officials also noted that such cultural exchanges support stronger partnerships in tourism and the creative economy.
Both countries expressed commitment to expanding cultural cooperation and strengthening people-to-people relations.
