Bingham University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Haruna Ayuba, has called on scholars, staff and students to uphold strong moral values while contributing positively to society through education and research.
Ayuba made the call during the university’s third public lecture in Karu, Nasarawa State, held in honour of Prof. Yusufu Turaki’s 80th birthday. He described Turaki as a respected scholar whose work in theology and social ethics continues to inspire dialogue on faith, truth and human responsibility.
Speaking at the lecture, Turaki said knowledge should be guided by truth, wisdom and moral integrity. He warned that scholarship without ethical values could become harmful to society.
The university said the event was aimed at promoting scholarship, character development and responsible leadership in nation-building.
