Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Amuwo Odofin Constituency I, Lagos, on Wednesday endorsed Ola Folorunsho, popularly known as Western, during the party’s House of Assembly primary election in Festac Town.
The primary, conducted using the APC’s Option A4 voting system, featured four aspirants. Party members, including persons living with disabilities, queued behind representatives of their preferred candidates during the exercise.
According to the Returning Officer, Mukaila Kosoko, Folorunsho emerged winner with 851 votes, ahead of other aspirants in the contest. Security officials and party leaders also intervened at a point to maintain order during the exercise.
Community leaders and party members described the process as peaceful and encouraged continued participation in future elections.
