Governor Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has emerged as the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Gombe North senatorial district ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party also confirmed Ahmed Muhammed as its flagbearer for Gombe Central and Jerry Damara for Gombe South.
According to the APC primary election committee, Yahaya secured 131,009 votes in the direct primaries. Muhammed polled 89,450 votes, while Damara scored 56,687 votes.
The party said the exercise was conducted peacefully and in line with its electoral guidelines across the three senatorial districts.
