Estonia’s Foreign Minister, Margus Tsahkna, says India is playing a major role in ongoing efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war and bring peace to Europe.

Speaking in Tallinn, Tsahkna expressed hope that India would continue engaging Russia and apply greater diplomatic pressure to encourage a peaceful resolution to the conflict, which began in 2022.

The Estonian minister also highlighted growing ties between Estonia and India in digital technology, innovation and startup development. He described India as an important partner and welcomed more Indian businesses to explore opportunities in Estonia’s tech and e-residency sectors.

Tsahkna added that political relations between both countries were improving, noting recent high-level engagements between Estonian and Indian leaders.
