NASARAWA GOVT URGES ROADSIDE TRADERS TO RELOCATE TO MUHAMMADU BUHARI INTERNATIONAL MARKET

Listen

The Nasarawa State Government has urged roadside traders along the Mararaba/Karu axis to relocate their businesses to the Muhammadu Buhari International Market.

Officials said the directive is part of ongoing efforts to decongest traffic and improve order around the flyover construction in the area. Authorities also warned that roadside trading and obstruction of access roads would no longer be tolerated.

According to the Greater Karu Development Control Agency (GKADCA), traders operating along road corridors after the completion of the flyover project risk arrest and prosecution before a mobile court.

The government said the relocation is aimed at supporting safer movement, protecting public infrastructure and ensuring traders operate within approved market spaces.
