MAKINDE CONFIRMS TEACHER’S DEATH, SIX ARRESTS IN OYO ABDUCTION CASE

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has confirmed the death of one of the teachers abducted in Ahoro-Esinle Community, while six suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident.

The governor said seven teachers were abducted during the attack and assured residents that efforts were ongoing to rescue the remaining victims safely.

Makinde also expressed condolences to the families of security operatives, including soldiers, Amotekun personnel and local vigilantes, who lost their lives during the rescue operation.

According to him, some suspects arrested within the locality are believed to have provided logistics or information support connected to the abduction.

The governor said injured security personnel are receiving treatment and promised that the state government would continue to provide updates on the rescue efforts.
