Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has approved the appointment of Alhaji Suleiman Sa’ad Abubakar as the new Emir of Kagarko.
The appointment, which takes immediate effect, followed a selection process conducted by kingmakers of the Kagarko Emirate Council, according to the Commissioner for Local Government Affairs.
The new emir emerged after the screening of several contestants, following the death of the former Emir of Kagarko, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, who passed away on January 8 after six years on the throne.
The state government says arrangements for the formal installation and presentation of the staff of office will be announced in due course.
