Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State on Monday turned out in large numbers for senatorial primary elections across several local government areas, despite early morning rainfall.
At different venues, including Awori College in Ojo, Oshodi-Isolo, and Somolu/Bariga, party members arrived early and waited patiently under umbrellas and temporary shelters as the exercise got underway.
Some participants expressed confidence that the primaries would be peaceful and credible, while describing the turnout as a strong show of commitment despite the weather.
Security personnel were deployed across the affected areas, and the process reportedly went on peacefully as accreditation and voting progressed.
