FIRST BATCH OF NIGER PILGRIMS DEPARTS FOR 2026 HAJJ

The first batch of 345 intending pilgrims from Niger State has departed Minna for Madinah, Saudi Arabia, ahead of the 2026 Hajj exercise.

Officials said the Flynas Airline flight took off late Monday night from the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport, Minna, with pilgrims from Chanchaga and Borgu Local Government Areas onboard.

Governor Mohammed Umaru-Bago advised the pilgrims to be good ambassadors of the state, obey regulations, safeguard their belongings and pray for peace and stability in Nigeria during the pilgrimage.

Authorities also confirmed that Niger State has a total of 2,281 intending pilgrims scheduled to be airlifted in six flights for the 2026 Hajj.
