The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) says it has arrested several suspected drug traffickers, including three persons with disabilities, during operations in Anambra, Kwara, Kogi, Lagos and Nasarawa states.
According to the agency, operatives also uncovered a Lekki mansion allegedly used as a drug stash house, where more than 2,300kg of “Loud”, a strong strain of cannabis valued at over N5.8 billion, was recovered alongside vehicles and packaging materials.
The NDLEA said additional raids and patrol operations led to the recovery of suspected skunk, tramadol and other illicit substances in different locations, while several suspects were taken into custody for investigation.
The agency added that its anti-drug awareness campaign continues across schools, communities and workplaces nationwide as part of efforts to curb drug abuse and trafficking.
