NAVY STRIKES HARD IN CALABAR: BOATS, ENGINES SEIZED AS MILITANTS FLEE

Listen

The Nigerian Navy has intensified its crackdown on militants and kidnappers in Cross River State, seizing boats and outboard engines in fresh operations across Calabar waterways.

At Dayspring Island, troops—building on earlier raids—uncovered 10 hidden outboard engines stashed in bushes and buildings linked to suspected militants.

In another push near Akpamfi creek, security forces advanced on new intelligence, forcing suspects to flee and abandon two fibre boats and a мощ 200-horsepower engine.

The Navy says these seizures are strategic—targeting the transport systems militants rely on to operate and evade capture.

With logistics disrupted and hideouts under pressure, officials say militant activities are being significantly weakened, as operations continue to secure the waterways.
