Abuja — The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has eliminated scores of terrorists and destroyed key hideouts in fresh airstrikes across Sambisa Forest and the Tumbuns axis of Borno.
According to NAF, the precision strikes—carried out under Operation Hadin Kai—targeted insurgents’ enclaves, logistics hubs, and fortified bases using credible intelligence.
A major strike at Alafa in Sambisa wiped out supply structures, while a follow-up operation in Metele (Tumbuns) hit a heavily fortified island base, destroying storage facilities and defensive positions.
The sustained bombardment is part of a strategy to keep terrorists under constant pressure and prevent regrouping.
Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, praised personnel for their effectiveness, vowing that operations will continue until all threats are neutralised.
