The Federal Government has declared Friday a public holiday to mark International Workers’ Day.
Interior Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo announced the break, praising Nigerian workers for their hard work and role in driving the nation’s growth.
He urged citizens to stay committed to patriotism, productivity, and national development, stressing that these values are key to a stronger economy.
Government also reassured workers of its commitment to improving welfare and creating a more supportive environment for jobs and economic progress.
Workers are encouraged to use the day to reflect on unity, dedication, and their role in nation-building.
