FIX SECURITY, FIX INVESTMENT: EXPERT URGES EDO TO ACT FAST

Listen

A Germany-based security expert, Godwin Ogbebor, is calling on the Edo State Government to step up security to attract investment and protect lives.

Speaking in Benin City, Ogbebor said many indigenes abroad are hesitant to invest back home due to rising insecurity.

Through his Food, Education, Shelter and Security Foundation, he has proposed a community-based security model, with trained intelligence personnel deployed across wards and supported by traditional rulers, religious groups, and government stakeholders.

He said the plan could not only improve safety but also create over 4,000 jobs, while ensuring long-term, professional security beyond informal vigilante systems.
