The Young Farmers’ Association is urging farmers in Enugu to register with the state Ministry of Agriculture to access subsidised inputs for the 2026 planting season.
According to Chairman Kenneth Eze, registered farmers stand to benefit from fertilisers, seedlings, and even tractors—support that could boost productivity.
With rains already setting in, farmers are also encouraged to begin cultivation immediately, following forecasts by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency.
Eze also pushed for sack farming—a space-saving, low-cost method ideal for urban and small-scale farmers.
