China has added seven European Union companies to its export control list, tightening restrictions on the flow of critical materials and technology.
The Ministry of Commerce says the move is to protect national security and enforce non-proliferation rules—meaning no more “dual-use” items (goods that can serve both civilian and military purposes) will be supplied to the affected firms.
Among those hit are defence and tech-linked companies like FN Herstal, HENSOLDT AG, and EXCALIBUR ARMY, alongside others across Europe’s industrial space.
Beijing also made it clear: ongoing transactions must stop immediately, and even third parties are barred from rerouting Chinese-origin supplies to the blacklisted entities.
