ARMY RAID IN IMO: IPOB/ESN CAMP BUSTED, REMAINS OF SLAIN SOLDIERS FOUND

Listen

The Nigerian Army says it has dismantled a notorious IPOB/ESN camp in Imo State, recovering suspected remains of two personnel abducted and killed in 2022.

The operation, carried out by troops of the 82 Division with other security agencies along the Ubaha-Orsu axis, reportedly met heavy resistance—but soldiers overpowered the attackers and forced them to flee.

During a sweep of the camp, troops discovered shallow graves, believed to contain the remains of Master Warrant Officer Linus Musa Audu and Private Gloria Mathew, who were killed while travelling for their traditional wedding.

The remains have been exhumed for DNA analysis, as authorities move to confirm identities and arrange proper burials for the fallen personnel.

The Army says the raid is part of ongoing efforts to flush out criminal networks in the South-East and deliver justice for victims.

Residents have been urged to stay alert and support security agencies with credible information.
