DELTA CP RALLIES SECURITY AGENCIES FOR JOINT WAR ON CRIME

Listen

The Delta State Commissioner of Police, Yemi Oyeniyi, has launched a push for stronger inter-agency collaboration to tackle rising crime across the state.

During visits to the Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), and Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS) in Asaba, the CP flagged key threats including kidnapping, communal clashes, human trafficking, and drug crimes.

He stressed that intelligence sharing and joint operations are critical—especially as the country moves toward the 2027 elections.

Oyeniyi said he would rely on the experience of sister agencies to tackle evolving security challenges, while all agencies visited pledged stronger cooperation and support.

The message was unanimous: collaboration—not competition—is the key to keeping Delta safe.
