The Federal High Court in Abuja has remanded six defendants in Department of State Services (DSS) custody over an alleged plot to overthrow the government.
All six pleaded not guilty to a 13-count charge including treason, terrorism, and money laundering before Justice Joyce Abdulmalik.
The prosecution, led by Attorney-General Lateef Olasunkanmi Fagbemi, secured an accelerated hearing, with trial fixed for April 27.
Former Bayelsa governor Timipre Sylva is also named in the case but remains at large.
The court ordered that the defendants stay in DSS custody while allowing their lawyers access to prepare for trial. Bail applications must be formally filed.
