The Nigeria Fashion Week 2026 is set to debut in Abuja from Oct. 1 to 4, with more than 40 Nigerian and international designers expected to showcase their collections.
Chief Executive Officer of the event, Mr Lexy Mojo-Eyes, on Tuesday, September 29, said the four-day programme would hold at Soul Lounge Resort, Jahi, as part of activities marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence anniversary. He said moving the event from Lagos to Abuja would provide designers with a wider platform to showcase their creativity and connect with new opportunities.
The event will open with a welcome cocktail on Oct. 1, followed by the official opening on Oct. 2. Three runway shows will be held daily during the first two days, while fashion entrepreneurs will also display their products. The final day will feature the Nigeria Fashion Entrepreneurial Forum, bringing together policymakers, financial institutions, entrepreneurs and local and international buyers to explore opportunities for turning creativity into sustainable businesses.
The programme will conclude on Oct. 4 with the Nigeria Fashion Awards and Gala Fashion Night, which will recognise stakeholders who have contributed to the growth of the fashion industry. Mojo-Eyes said the 2026 edition would combine fashion, entrepreneurship, investment and market access to strengthen Nigeria’s position in the global fashion ecosystem.
