Interim Super Falcons Head Coach, Augustine Eguavoen, has invited 28 players for Nigeria’s 2028 Olympic Games qualifying fixture against Comoros, with captain Rasheedat Ajibade and goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie among the key names in the squad.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) announced the squad on Tuesday, September 29, which also includes defenders Michelle Alozie, Oluwatosin Demehin and Ashley Plumptre, midfielders Christy Ucheibe, Toni Payne and Jennifer Echegini, and forwards Asisat Oshoala, Gift Monday and Uchenna Kanu.
The squad features several young players, including Christiana Uzoma, Farida Abdulwahab, Tumininu Adeshina, Favour Nkwocha, Shakirat Moshood, Oluwakemi Adegbuyi and Janet Akekoromowei. The players are expected to report to camp in Ijebu-Ode on Saturday ahead of the second-round tie.
Comoros will host the first leg on Oct. 9, with Nigeria hosting the return leg on Oct. 13 at Remo Stars Sports Stadium, Ikenne-Remo, as Comoros does not have a CAF-approved venue. The Falcons must win on aggregate to advance to the third round of the qualifying series, which is scheduled to conclude in December 2027.
