Nigerian comedian Anita Asuoha, popularly known as Real Warri Pikin, has won the Best Stand-Up Comedian award at the 2026 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA), held in Dallas, Texas.
Asuoha announced the achievement on Sunday, September 13, on her official Instagram page following Saturday’s ceremony. She emerged ahead of fellow Nigerians Basketmouth, Bovi and Godfrey, as well as comedians from Kenya, South Africa and Uganda, including Eric Omondi, Ty Ngachira, Trevor Noah and Patrick “Salvado” Idringi.
The award further strengthens Real Warri Pikin’s reputation as one of Nigeria’s leading female comedians. Known for her energetic performances, humour and distinctive use of Nigerian Pidgin, she has built a strong following through stand-up comedy, acting, digital content creation and live entertainment.
Asuoha has also taken her performances beyond Nigeria, appearing at major events in Ghana, Senegal, the United States and the United Kingdom. AFRIMMA celebrates African music, artistes and creative talents across the continent and in the diaspora.
