UCL: COMO THRASH LEIPZIG AS BAYERN, MAN UNITED RECORD BIG WINS

Italian debutants Como announced their arrival in the UEFA Champions League in style on Thursday, September 10, defeating RB Leipzig 4-1 at home. Cesc Fàbregas’ side took the lead through Marti Baturina in the 15th minute before goals from Taso Douvikas and Diao put the hosts firmly in control. Leipzig pulled one back through Maksimovic, but Maximo Perrone sealed Como’s emphatic victory in stoppage time.

Manchester United also enjoyed a comfortable night at Old Trafford, defeating Champions League debutants Sabah 4-0. Matheus Cunha opened the scoring in the 27th minute before Bruno Fernandes, Benjamin Sesko and Lisandro Martinez completed the rout for United.

Bayern Munich produced the biggest victory of the night, thrashing Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt 5-0 at the Allianz Arena. Jamal Musiala opened the scoring shortly after half-time, while Harry Kane, Alphonso Davies and a brace from Michael Olise completed the dominant win.

In Istanbul, Fenerbahçe held Roma to a 1-1 draw after Bryan Cristante gave the visitors the lead before Mason Greenwood assisted Archie Brown for the Turkish side’s equaliser. PSV Eindhoven also drew 1-1 with Shakhtar Donetsk, while Lens edged Slavia Prague 3-2 after scoring twice in stoppage time.
